Brewster boys' basketball captured the
Class A Championship tonight with a 69-65 overtime victory against Winchendon
School.
Fordham
University-bound Trey Blue led the Bobcats with 20
points, including 4 three-pointers. Co-captain and Arizona-signee Emmanuel Negedu added 11 points and 13 rebounds, while
Xavier-signee Mark Lyons, Ohio State-bound Anthony Crater, and BYU-signee Charles
Abouo each added 8 points. Negedu was named MVP of the Class A
Tournament. With the win,
Brewster improved to 30-3 on the season. On their way to the finals, the
Bobcats defeated South Kent 95-74 in the
semifinals
and Worcester Academy 86-65 in the
quarterfinals.
