On Saturday, May 20,2007 Red Wings tennis took home their second consecutive New
England Class C Championship title after defeating The Pingree School 4-3 in the
finals. Rivers earned a first seed spot in this year's tournament and a bye in
the first round due to last year's win. The team came out strong to defeat the
Marvelwood School in the semi-finals on Saturday.
On Sunday, the team
fought hard against a challenging Pingree School team but was able to pull off
the victory. Doubles partners seniors Alex and Sam Harrison and senior Dylan
Lockman and freshman Alex Ginsberg won two out of their three doubles matches,
while Lockman secured the win by winning two out of three straight sets.
