(Oct. 28, 2008) - Loudoun County High School senior Shaylin O'Connell and Potomac Falls sophomore Tori Janowski are the AA Dulles Dsitrict co-Players of the Year in a vote of the district coaches. Also Heritage's Carmel Keilty, who guided her team to a regular-season co-championship with LC after the Pride ended the Raiders 47-match winning streak last Thursday, was named the district's Coach of the Year.
All eight district teams are in action tonight with tournament quarterfinal play. Each match is at the higher seed with 7 p.m. start times:
No. 8 Park View at No. 1 Loudoun County
No. 7 Freedom at No. 2 Heritage
No. 6 Dominion at No. 3 Potomac Falls
No. 5 Broad Run at No. 4 Briar Woods
The semifinals and finals are Thursday and Saturday at Park View High School.
