The Indiana High School Swim Coaches’ Association has
released its second poll for the 2008-09 girls swimming season, and Westfield
is a team on the rise. The Shamrocks have gone ShamWOW after swimming upstream
all the way from 20th to eighth.
Otherwise, there’s not a whole lot of movement after the
first official (but sparsely contested) week of the season. The top three
schools – Carmel, Hamilton Southeastern, and Center Grove – remain the same,
with Homestead swapping spots with Columbus North from fifth to fourth. Dropping
out of the poll are Western (11th) and Jay County (55th).
Teams are listed by ranking followed by
school and vote total. The IHSSCA’s Top
