Spartans are huddled in the end zone to the press box's right, the end of the stadium nestled into the hillside here ... great location for a football game! Hey, we saw Wes Driskill, former Heritage football coach, walking into the stadium. Driskill grew up in this area and was visiting home and caught the first game in which James Monroe won a wild shootout, 50-46 over Brookville to win the D3 title!
4:36: Remember that NFL game a long time ago where they cleared off the field to kick the field goal ... a little cart is towing something across the field, clearing a path here and there ... very cool looking but he has a long way to go! Broad Run marching band has taken the field for pregame to play the National Anthem ...
4:19: Teams are "warming" up on an increasingly white field with very little green left as the snow has been falling here for some time ... Phil Murphy (aka Dr. Digital Video) and I caught the snow about 45 minutes out of Lynchburg and it followed us into the stadium (that and a State Trooper ... hello Geico!) ..
Spartans are now headed to the locker room and a nice crowd from Loudoun is cheering them on.
