She is, in many ways, already viewed as a legendary figure in the sport – and she is still playing!
Faris and her Heritage Christian mates have won three consecutive Class 2A state championships and, at 12-0 entering the new year, appear well on their way to a fourth this season. She has accepted a scholarship to national power Connecticut. Opposing coaches use not only her play, but also her demeanor as a measuring stick of greatness.
All this from a player whose statistics are very strong, but not overwhelming. Then again, the joy in watching her game comes not from points or rebounds but rather every aspect of it.
Hoosier Authority sat down with Faris to find out what makes this remarkable young lady a one-of-a-kind player. We hope you enjoy the interview …
