The record-breaking performances of junior Briana Brown have again captured the eye of the national media. On Wednesday, Briana was included in an ESPN.com story that highlighted some of the best female high school basketball players in the nation.

The story, which ran in conjunction with the ESPN RISE FAB 50 national girls' basketball rankings, read in part:

“In December, junior Briana Brown claimed the King (Stamford, Conn.) all-time scoring leader title with the first 30-point game of her career. Since then, the guard has rattled off another 88 points in four games, running her school record to 1,481 points through Sunday.”

Athletic Director Tom Decker is pleased with the recognition Briana is receiving, and proud that the accolades reflect well for Briana as well as King on a national level.  “She is a great kid,” he said. “This is a testament to her basketball ability and her talent.”
