In an exciting and well played game, Canterbury led 23-22 at the half after coming back from a 5 point deficit. Krista O'Gara put in two clutch baskets in the last minute of the first half to put the Saints up for good.

The Lady Saints slowly pulled away in the second half. Marly Silverman put in 6 points while MacKenzie Watt scored 4, O'Gara 9 and Clare Fitzpatrick 16.  Ariana Della Torre contributed 5 clutch assists with some terrific passes.

At the 11:00 minute mark Canterbury had a 4 point lead, with 9:00 left they had a 33-41 lead and with 6:25 left they had stretched the lead to 14 with a game score of 52-38.  Holderness came back as they hit some 3-point shots but it was too little too late as the Lady Saints won 60-54.

Clare Fitzpatrick was named the MVP of the Championship game; she ended with 23 points. Clare has been the heart and soul of the Canterbury Basketball program for four years and it was fitting that she end her prep school career leading her team to the New England Championship.  Clare finishes as the all time leading scorer in both boys and girls basketball.

Krista O'Gara finished with 16 points, Ariana Delle Torre 7, Marly Silverman 6, Kelsy Nagle and Mackenzie Watt each had 4 points.

Congratulations to Head Coach Sarah Ferland and Assistant Coach Bill Shaw and the entire team. Well done!
