2A Sectional
30 has always been mostly a West Central Conference invitational. Six of the
seven teams in the conference have routinely been assigned to the field. That
will continue for the next two years, but the lineup will be slightly
different. Realignment has moved Greencastle from 3A to 2A. They will now move
into the Sectional 30 field. The team to leave is Speedway. The Sparkplugs will
now be in Sectional 29, a field which includes current 2A defending champion
Heritage Christian and defending 1A champion Indianapolis Ritter which is
moving up in class. Something tells us the IHSAA may not get a Christmas card
from Speedway this year.
