Out of the gate, Indian Creek "Eagles" controlled the ball for the first five minutes of their game against undefeated IAAM C Conference leader St. Timothy. Junior Maddi Boudreau led the defencse with five saves during the first half. The defensive unit was able to hold St. Timothy's leading scorer Eliza Finn, scoreless for the first half. Unfortunately, her sister, Emily Finn was ablel to find the four times in the first half to give St. Tim's a 4 - 7 lead.
With thirteen and half minutes left in the game, the Eagles were still trailed 11 - 7. Three goals were scored by Emma Baukhages, Lexi McCormick, and Becky Kinder within one minute to leave them down by one. Though St. Tim's controlled the ball for the next five minutes, the Eagle's defense, led by Krystin Major on the field and Rhian Sellars in goal, was able to hold them scoreless. With five minutes left in the game McCormick, who was five for five on the day, scored the tying goal on a free position shot. Both teams fought for possession in the final five minutes, but Baukhages was able to draw anotherr free position shot and give the Eagles the lead with twenty seconds on the clock. Baukhages then controlled the final draw to solidify the win.
The Eagles next home game is Thursday, April 30th against Bowie.
