Boys Lacrosse Top 10
*Rankings as of April 24

1.    Georgetown Prep (15-2/LW 1)
The Little Hoyas got their closest game against a local opponent against DeMatha. Up next: Wednesday’s long-awaited showdown with Landon with the regular season title on the line.
2.    Landon (13-3/LW 2)
Landon is on a major roll, winning seven straight games. Beating Georgetown Prep would mean the Bears would have the inside track to the overall IAC title.
3.    St. Albans (12-4-1/LW 4)
The Bulldogs got a big 6-5 win over St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes but will have work to do in the IAC tournament if it wants to take the overall title. They tied St. Mary’s Ryken.
4.    Langley (9-0/LW 5)
It’s the best start ever for Langley as the Saxons just keep on truckin’
5.    St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (9-4/LW 3)
The Saints were on a five-game win streak before the loss to St. Albans. But they were much worse off last year before reaching the IAC tournament finals.
6.    Wootton (9-0/LW 6)
The Patriots were the first to beat previously undefeated Whitman. There’s really nobody else in Montgomery County that can challenge the Patriots.
7.    Huntingtown (6-1/LW 7)
The Hurricanes’ only loss came against the MIAA’s St. Paul’s by five goals. Most public school teams would lose by double digits.
8.    DeMatha (9-6/LW 8)
An 8-5 loss to Georgetown Prep doesn’t seem so bad considering what the Little Hoyas have done to everybody else.
9.    W.T. Woodson (7-2/LW NR)
The Cavaliers’ only area loss is a 10-5 defeat at the hands of Landon. They can make their stock rise if they beat Langley on Saturday.
10.  Paul VI (10-3/LW NR)
Wait a second, Paul VI beat DeMatha? What? That’s right, the Panthers could be a major surprise in the WCAC tournament this season. Although the secret may be already out.
