Rachel Houff's two RBI was all Lee-Davis would need in a 3-1 win over Hanover. My battery died right after!

At this point, I'm like most every other high-school reporter in the nation.

EXHAUSTED!

There are so many spring sports to cover, so many deserving young people that deserve attention.

It's impossible to be everywhere, but I try!

So instead of just choosing a game to go to Tuesday evening at the height of playoffs, I went to the immaculate Hanover campus to take in boys soccer, baseball and softball at the Capital District semifinals.

First up was Atlee softball, who crushed Varina 24-0. I got a few highlights from there, photos, too, and move on.

Next was baseball. Surprisingly, my alma mater Henrico was hanging tough with top-seed and No. 2-ranked Hanover.

But a couple of doubles in the fourth inning, one from Laine Denton, blew the game open.

I chatted with some of my favorite student-athletes after - what's up Ben Dejarnette of Atlee and Garrett "Kobe" Joyner, a Lee-Davis baskeball player! HAHA!

Ben covered the Atlee game with words quite well, couldn't do much better myself. Check it out here! I got some photos and video to help him out.

Then it was on to the game of the night, Lee-Davis and Hanover softball. By this point I had been out for 2 1/2 hours, so my battery was on E.

I was still able to get some nice videos before it conked out, including Rachel Houff's two-RBI shot that you see above these words that gave Lee-Davis all it needed, advancing with a 3-1 win.

It was the end of a dynasty of sort, as Hanover won't be in the region softball tournament since the school opened.

It was a productive and fun day, to say the least.

In other news, look out for some college news coming up, a couple of signings and commitments involving Thomas Dale athletes.

Until next time, it's your favorite reporter, signing off...
