Staff Report

There were no team titles, but there were plenty of strong performances by Hoosier Heritage Conference teams in sectional action Thursday evening. One of the highlights of the evening was the second place finish of Delta in the Muncie Central Sectional. The Eagles amassed 108 points in besting everyone except Jay County.

At Mt. Vernon, the hosts place a strong second behind Anderson Highland with a total of 112.5 points. Pendleton Heights was right behind in third with 97.5, and Yorktown was fourth with 79.

The three southern schools in the league feed into the Warren Central Sectional and acquitted themselves quite well. New Palestine totaled 80.5 points in placing third behind Warren Central and Franklin Central. Greenfield-Central was fifth with 46 points, and Shelbyville ended sixth with 33.

Individual results from all of the sectionals are available on the state pages of Hoosier Authority.
