Funniest teammate: "Charyssa Parent. Every day she has a new joke to tell us."
Dream Prom Date: "Channing Tatum."
Describe how hard freshman Kelly Heinz throws: "It's fast. She throws it hard, but she's still got movement to it. It's amazing for her age."
On coach Jackie Davis: "She's a very good coach to play with. When I came to her I wasn't very good at multiple positions. That was the biggest thing I learned from her."
Toughest opponent: "I would have to say Atlee."
On nickname: "I got it when I was younger, I played with another girl name Chelsea. Of course, as a kid you eat all kinds of things, but I always ate something that had cheese in it. So one day at practice I told everybody to call me Cheese and it stuck."
College: Mitchell will play at Christopher Newport. "I chose them because I base it a lot on education. They have good academic programs and a very nice campus. I'm excited to play with her."
Reflecting on high-school career: "I was really strong in the beginning, struggled in the middle, finish strong in the end. I was just happy to be a part of that varity team. I never really thought about myself."
Favorite position: "Catcher." She will play catcher at CNU.
