Staff Report
Bloomington
South claimed the regional title at the cross-town Bloomington North site
Thursday night. That was the only team title collected by Conference Indiana in
regional action. However, the league did represent well at several sites.
Bloomington
North made it a 1-2 sweep by the hometown schools at that site. The Cougars
scored 86 points finishing well behind the Panthers and their total of 111. At
Connersville, Franklin Central finished second in a closely bunched field.
Warren Central easily won the competition but the 58 points the Flashes put on
the board edged fourth place Columbus North by only three points.
Indianapolis
North Central was the site hosting the most CI squads. Four league teams
competed and all four ended in the top ten of the team standings. #10 ranked
Lawrence Central headed the contingent finishing third with 72 points. Highly
regarded Pike was fifth with 48, Perry Meridian eighth with 28, and Southport
tenth with 17 points on the evening.
Individual
results from all the regionals are available on the state home page of Hoosier
Authority.
