The state’s top baseball prospect didn’t disappoint once the season began.
Blake Hauser led Manchester to an 18-0 record as the Lancers slaughtered every other opponent.
The radar guns were out any time Hauser was scheduled to pitch, as he ran the screen up to 95 miles per hour with no problem.
The 6-2, 170-pounder was drafted in the 25th round by the Cleveland Indians, but as of now he will go to VCU.
“We had unbelievable talent. It made it easy to pitch,” Hauser said. “I’m looking forward to playing college ball. But if the opportunity is there for pro ball, I’m more than happy to do that, too.”
