It was so white-hot this season that he earned first-team all-state honors as a third baseman, one of three players from the Central Region to earn the honor.

Hanover’s Jake Mayers (DigitalSports POY) and Deep Run’s R.C. Orlan were the others.

But those two are seniors. Cujas is a junior looking to be an even better player in 2010.

“Hopefully I can keep my hitting up,” Cujas said, “and just work on defense and try to get better in the field.”
