Coach Jim Busick's Gilman tennis team prepared for next week's playoffs with a solid 5-0 win over Mount St. Joseph, at
Bryn Mawr
on Thursday.
The Greyhounds swept all five matches, and to a man,
all of the players are hoping to have a rematch with McDonogh if both teams
reach the finals. The Eagles are the only team to beat the Greyhounds during the
season, 3-2 at McDonogh. Gilman is the defending MIAA A Conference champ and should
the Greyhounds and Eagles reach the championship finals, it would mark
the 22nd time in the last 23 years that both teams played each other for the
A Conference crown.
