GLENELG COUNTRY SWEEPS TOP FOUR SPOTS, COLLECTS TWO WINS

Led by individual winner Samantha Matthews (21:16.00), who finished just two seconds in front of teammate Maeve Ricaurte, Glenelg Country swept the top four spots in its IAAM cross country meet with Baltimore Lutheran and St. Vincent Pallotti, yesterday in Ellicott City.
The Dragons, who topped both Lutheran and Pallotti by identical scores of 15-50, also received a third-place effort from Katie O'Dunne (21:30.00) and Emily Peterman (22:56.00). Pallotti's Lauren Daly crossed 12th and teammate Lauren Crane was 14th, but Lutheran crossed five runners in spots 15-20 to defeat the Panthers, 25-33, in the other IAAM dual.
Non-conference teams Maret (DC) and Edmund Burke also ran in the competition.
