SPALDING WINS IN QUARTERFINALS

Archbishop Spalding's 1-0 win over Roland Park Country sets up a third meeting between Bryn Mawr and the Cavaliers  in the A Conference semifinals.
Abby Lynch put the lone goal of the game in with nine minutes remaining in regulation to propel the Cavaliers to a 1-0 win over Roland Park on Tuesday in Severn. 

"It seemed like every offensive player touched the ball before it found the cage." said head coach Brady. 

The play started with a shot from Kaitlyn May that hit the right post.  Kara Johnson then scooped up the rebound, shot it back towards goal and hit the opposite post where Abby collected it and sent it into the cage. 

Nicole Gaia, Rachel Hannon, and Brittany Palasik played exceptional defense preserving the shutout.  Ciarra Delost made seven saves in goal. 

Spalding will travel to Bryn Mawr Thursday for the semifinals. The two teams split in the regular season. Bryn Mawr came out on top 2-1 in the first meeting while Spalding won 2-0 in the rematch.
