Upsets have been common in the the IAAM A-conference of late, but there were no surprises in Tuesday's quarter-finals, as the top four seeds all won.

THREE OF TOP FOUR SEEDS ADVANCE TO FIELD HOCKEY SEMI-FINALS

#5 Severn edges #4 St. Mary's; other three seeds hold true, win via shutout

Upsets have been common in the the IAAM A-conference of late, but there were no surprises in Tuesday's quarter-finals, as the top four seeds all won.
Garrison Forest, Bryn Mawr, Archbishop Spalding and Severn all posted shutout wins.
Those four now advance to Thursday's semi-final round, with Severn visiting Garrison Forest and Spalding going to Bryn Mawr.

#1 Garrison Forest 4, Notre Dame Prep 0
This match was tied 0-0 at the half, but the host Grizzlies poured in
four unanswered goals in the second half. Four different players scored
for GF. Sophomore Emily Cain had three saves, while Gamper kept NDP close with 16 saves.
#5 Severn 2, #4 St. Mary's 0 Lainey Rosson and Shannon Lane scored one goal each and Rosson added an assist, as the Admirals kept the Saints off the scoreboard.
#3 Spalding 1, #6 Roland Park Country 0 Abby Lynch scored the game's lone goal to give the Cavaliers the win. Ciarra Delost recorded seven saves, while Bailey Reeves had 12 saves for the Reds.
#2 Bryn Mawr 2, St. Paul's SFG 0 Seniors Sarah Cole and Neile Weeks each scored one goal and Abby Bisbee notched four saves in back of a stingy defense that posted a shutout. Kelly Mudeking had seven saves for the Gators.
SEMI-FINALS
#5 Severn @ #1 Garrison Forest These two played close matches in-season, with Garrison winning by one goal on both occasions, 2-1 and 1-0. The Grizzlies have the advantage of home field.
#3 Spalding @ #2 Bryn Mawr The Mawrtians and Cavaliers split during the regular season. BMS won the first, 2-1, but Spalding returned the favor with a 2-0 win. The Mawrtians have the home field advantage.
