Note: Records are regular-season marks followed by postseason marks.
How pairings are determinedSingles1.
The four regional champions, along with the No. 1 undefeated (in
postseason) singles players whose teams were eliminated during the
semistate team tourney or the state finals, will advance to the state
singles finals.
2. The No. 1 singles player of the state
championship team, provide she is undefeated, shall be the first
placement for the singles state finals. Any undefeated No. 1 singles
player from a defeated state finals tourney team shall be the next
placement. Any undefeated No. 1 singles player from a defeated
semistate tourney team shall be the next placement – if there is more
than one qualifying individual from a semistate team, the individual(s)
with the greater number of individual games won in team play during the
tourney will receive the better placement. The four players advancing
to the individual state finals from the individual regional
competitions will be the next placements. The individual regional
champions with the greater number of individual matches won during the
tourney (team and individual) will receive the better placements.
Finally, the individuals shall be placed by a blind draw if there is a
tie with the individuals’ tournament records. No other data shall be
used to determine pairings.
Doubles1. The four
regional champions, along with the No. 1 undefeated doubles players
whose teams were eliminated during the semistate team tourney or the
state finals, will advance to the state doubles finals.
2. The
No. 1 doubles team of the state championship team, provided it is
undefeated, shall be the first placement for the doubles state finals.
Any undefeated No. 1 doubles team from a defeated state finals tourney
team shall be the next placement. Any undefeated No. 1 doubles team
from a defeated semistate tourney team shall be the next placement – if
there is more than one qualifying doubles team from a semistate team,
the doubles team(s) with the greater number of individual games won in
team play during the tourney will receive the better placement. The
four doubles teams advancing to the doubles state finals from the
doubles regional competitions will be the next placements. The doubles
team regional champions with the greater number of matches won during
the tournament (both team and doubles) will receive the better
placements. Finally, the doubles team shall be placed by a blind draw
if there is a tie with the tournament records. No other data shall be
used to determine pairings.
