The high school gymnastics season is underway and the Western Panthers are flying high early. Western won its season opening three-way meet versus Noblesville and Taylor on Jan. 7. The final team scores were Western 98, Noblesville 96.5, and Taylor 69.

Western offset a balanced performance from the Millers by winning three of the four individual events. Junior Amanda Hudson took first in both the bars and floor exercise. Click here to see her floor exercise.

Noblesville’s Amy Albright turned in the evening’s highest score on an individual performance when she earned a 9.2 on the balance beam.
