FLORA - Frontier's girls basketball team dropped its eighth consecutive contest with a 56-37 loss at Carroll Thursday night.
Falcons Head Coach Brent Kunkel said his squad was hurt by a slow start.
"(Carroll) jumped out to a 14-2 lead to start the game. It's hard for us to rebound from that, especially without Kierston (Pullins, who's out with a shoulder injury)," he said. "We played them even in the second half. We need to quit giving up early leads like that."
Nikki Firebaugh scored 13 points and Courtney Wesner 11 for the Falcons (6-14).
Carroll improved to 11-9.
The Falcons host the winner of Tri-Central and Clinton Prairie in their sectional opener in which they are hosting next Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
