BOYS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK, 11/12/07

CBA senior Andrew Liapis (14) leads the Colts with 14 goals this season.

Andrew Liapis, CBA: The Colts senior forward has been on a scoring tear in the state playoffs, helping CBA win its 12th NJSIAA sectional championship. In the Non-Public South A title game against Gloucester Catholic, Liapis scored twice in a 3-1 victory. In the semifinal round, Liapis also had two goals to lead the Colts to a 2-0 victory over top-seeded St. Augustine. He scored a goal against St. John Vianney in the first round, as well. The Colts will play Seton Hall Prep for the Non-Public A championship on Tuesday.

Also considered: Manalapan's Jake Grinkevich, Howell's Cody Calafiore, Point Beach's Henry Stuhler.
