(7) Middletown North 2, (10) Montclair 1: Danny Dean's goal at 3:04 of the third period stood up as the game-winning goal and propelled the Lions into the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA Public A Tournament. Joe Vega scored a short-handed goal in the second period to give the Lions a 1-0 lead before Clark Janifer tied the game at one for the Mounties.

(9) Morristown-Beard 5, (8) St. John Vianney 1: Matt Willows scored four goals to power the Crimson past the Lancers in the first round of the NJSIAA Non-Public Tournament. Mick Kolbasowski scored a third-period power-play goal in the third period. Doug Tayler stopped 28 of 29 shots for Morristown-Beard.
