       TOP 10

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (OVERALL AND DIVISIONAL)

    GAMES TO WATCH

    COLLEGE SPOTLIGHT

A.J. Rusbarsky, Fr., SS, Seton Hall
One of the stars of Colts Neck's Shore Conference Tournament champion team from last season, Rusbarsky has made an immediate impact with the Pirates as a freshman. He is a starter and is hitting .301 (third on the team) through 146 at-bats in 38 games and has seven doubles for Seton Hall, which is 25-14 overall and 12-4 in the Big East.

     RANDOM FACTOID/TIDBIT(S) OF THE WEEK
Here's a couple to kick this segment off - feel free to e-mail me with any you come up with in a given week.

     1. Keyport defeated Asbury Park, 18-13, last week. During the football season, Asbury Park beat Keyport 14-13.

     2. The only way Red Bank Catholic can take batting practice against a righty is if one of the players throws it. RBC coach Buddy Hausmann and his assistants are all left-handed.

     3. There are two players in the Shore whose initials are V.V. St. Rose's Vin Vinci and Toms River South's Vin Vivona.
