Junior
Murphy Kate Delaney of Monsignor Donovan placed fifth with a time of
1:09.41, but freshman Kelsey Steele from Pope John XXIII stole the show
with a first place finish of 1:06.51.
Girls 1600m Run
Junior
Krissa Loretto of Monsignor Donovan finished with a time of 5:07.44
in the 1600m run, earning her fourth place Friday evening. Junior Sarach
Pagano of Immaculate Heart took home first with 5:01.42.
Girls
800m Run
Freshman
Molly McNamara of Red Bank Catholic finished in fourth place with a
time of 2:15.20. Junior Emily Carrollo of Pope John XXIII captured first
with 2:13.74.
Girls 100m Hurdles
Junior
Murphy Kate Delaney of Monsignor Donovan came in third place with a
time of 16.15, but it was not enough as junior Francesca D’Angelo
of Holy Spirit captured first with 15.13.
Girls 3200m Run
Krissa
Loretto, a junior from Monsignor Donovan, captured second place with
a time of 11:18.63 while sophomore Chelsea Delaney of St. John Vianney
and sophomore Michelle Capozzi of Red Bank Catholic took home fourth
and fifth place honors with times of 11:37.71 and 11:38.60, respectively.
But it was junior Sarah Pagano of Immaculate Heart who won the event
with 11:01.56.
Girls 4 x 400m Relay
Red
Bank Catholic took home third place as sophomore Sophia Fils-saime,
junior Courtney Cannon, freshman Alexandra McCahill and junior Adriana
Tacopino finished with a time of 4:03.98. Monsignor Donovan also represented
the Shore Conference in the event with a sixth place finish as freshman
Pauline Dabrowski, senior Briana Crowe, junior Murphy Kate Delaney and
junior Krissa Loretto finished with a time of 4:11.93. The girls from
Pope John XXIII were able to capture first place honors with 3:57.79.
Girls Discus Throw
The
Shore Conference took home three of the six medal spots in this event,
with senior Caitlin Cottell of Red Bank Catholic leading the way with
first place honors after throwing 107-01. Junior Nicole Kalinowski of
Monsignor Donovan came in second with 105-07 and junior Margo Cronin
from St. John Vianney finished fifth with 95-08.
Girls Pole Volt
Kristen
Ortiz, a junior from Monsignor Donovan, had a fourth place finish on
Friday evening after clearing 8-00.00. Sophomore Danielle Hand of St.
John Vianney placed sixth in the event after clearing 7-06.00. They
were the only Shore Conference representatives to medal in the event.
Sophomore Sarah McGowan took first place honors when she cleared 8-06.00.
Girls Team Ranking
After
16 events were scored, Monsignor Donovan shared a fourth place finish
with Bishop Ahr, both of which totaled 33 points throughout the two
days of events.
Boys 400m Hurdles
TJ
Lynch, a junior from Monsignor Donovan captured first place honor with
a time of 54.59 in the event. He was the only representative of the
Shore Conference to medal.
Boys 100m Dash
St.
John Vianney freshman Charles Davis and Monsignor Donovan senior Chris
Medina represented the Shore Conference with fifth and sixth place finishes,
respectively. Davis earned a time of 11.36 while Medina finished right
behind him with 11.40. Clayton Parros, a junior from Seton Hall, took
first place honors with 10.96.
Boys 1600m Run
Christian
Brothers Academy senior Brendon Pierson and Red Bank Catholic freshman
Kevin Byrne took home fifth and sixth place finishes, respectively.
Pierson earned a time of 4:19.70 and Byrnes came in behind him with
4:21.62. Senior Jon Juleus of Pope John XXIII captured first place with
a time of 4:16.71.
Boys 400m Dash
Monsignor
Donovan junior TJ Lynch finished in fifth place with a time of 50.10,
but was not enough as Clayton Parros took home first for Seton Hall
again with a 47.62 time.
Boys 800m Run
Freshman
Kevin Byrne of Red Bank Catholic and senior Brendon Pierson of Christian
Brothers Academy took home second and third places, respectively Saturday
afternoon. Byrne finished with a time of 1:57.04 while Pierson came
in right behind him with 1:58.10. Fellow Shore Conference competitor
Graham Matthews from Monsignor Donovan placed sixth with 1:58.43. But
it was senior Steven Wexler from Don Bosco who earned first place honors
with 1:57.02.
Boys 110m Hurdles
Monsignor
Donovan represented second and fourth place as senior Brendan Ensor
finished with 15.25 and junior TJ Lynch finished with 15.47. Senior
Chris Debski of Christian Brothers Academy also medaled for fifth place
with 15.51. Junior Shaikat Bardhan, a junior from Bishop Ahr, captured
first place with 14.71.
Boys 3200m Run
Junior
Bobby McGann of Red Bank Catholic medaled for sixth place with a time
of 9:40.55. Senior Kevin McDonnell of Camden Catholic placed first with
9:19.00.
Boys 200m Dash
Senior
Jayce Maxwell of Monsignor Donovan placed third with a time of 22.29
while fellow teammate Chris Medina placed sixth with 22.64. Clayton
Parros of Seton Hall captured first with a time of 21.82.
Boys 4 x 400m Relay
Monsignor
Donovan took home a second place finish as junior Anthony Cappello,
junior Nick Chiarella, senior Jayce Maxwell and junior TJ Lynch finished
with a time of 3:22.28. The effort was not enough as Union Catholic
placed first with 3:20.22.
Boys Long Jump
Senior
Chris Medina of Monsignor Donovan captured first place honors with a
mark of 22-03.00. He was the only representative of the Shore Conference
to medal in this event.
Boys Shot Put
Senior
Jonathan Fernandez of Monsignor Donovan finished in fourth place after
throwing 51-00.50 in the event. Chris DiLorenzo, a junior from Seton
Hall, took home first with a mark of 57-01.00.
Boys High Jump
Junior
Jake Bartlett of Christian Brothers Academy finished in third place
after clearing 6-04.00. Senior Brian Nierney of Red Bank Catholic finished
in fourth with a mark of 6-02.00. Kevin Bostick, a senior from Bergen
Catholic, captured first place after clearing 6-08.00.
Boys Javelin Throw
Jonathan
Fernandez of Monsignor Donovan captured first place honors with a throw
of 170-05. Jimmy Tully, a sophomore from Christian Brothers Academy,
was the only other member of the Shore Conference to medal with a fourth
place throw of 155-07.
Boys Discus Throw
Monsignor
Donovan took home second and third place finishes as Jonathan Fernandez
and AJ Coulson placed with marks of 146-06 and 146-00, respectively.
First place was taken by junior Chris DiLorenzo of Seton Hall, who threw
for 148-08.
Boys Pole Vault
Senior
Mike Reese of St. John Vianney finished third after clearing 13-00.00
while junior John Keale of Christian Brothers Academy placed fifth after
clearing 11-06.00.
Boys Team Ranking
Monsignor Donovan finished first for the school's first ever Non-Public A championship, leading all teams with 79 total points.
