Girls 400m Hurdles
Junior
Kelsey Burke of St. Rose took home a third place finish with a time
of 1:07.00, but was not enough as senior Rose Johnson of Holy Cross
captured first with 1:04.35.
Girls 1600m Run
Junior
Marie Walsh of Mater Dei represented the Shore Conference with a second
place finish with a time of 4:59.84. Senior Kathleen McCafferty of Oak
Knoll took home first place with a 4:56.46 finish.
Girls 800m Run
Junior
Marie Walsh of Mater Dei finished in second place with a time of 2:19.05
while fellow teammate, sophomore Liz Shaw, placed sixth with 2:22.06.
But it was sophomore Tara Wuko of Wildwood Catholic who captured first
place with 2:17.74.
Girls 4 x 400m Relay
Mater
Dei juniors Casey Andress, Marie Walsh and seniors Meghan Corless and
Deborah Snyder earned their team a fourth place finish in the relay
with a time of 4:09.63. Saint Rose finished right behind them
as sophomore Nicole DelNero, juniors Kelsey Burke and Taylor Shanley
and freshman Nicole Donahue came in fifth with 4:13.38. But it was the
girls from Holy Cross who came in first with 4:05.36.
Girls Triple Jump
Kelsey
Burke also captured fourth place in the triple jump on Friday evening
with a mark of 32-06.00. Senior Ayana Davis of Holy Cross won first
place with 34-08.00.
Girls High Jump
Freshman
Nicole Donahue from St. Rose and junior Ciara Chaly from Mater Dei represented
the Shore Conference with second and third place performances, both
of whom cleared 5-00.00.
Boys 400m Hurdles
Robert
Rogers took home second place honors with a time of 55.24, just shy
of junior Cartlon Bowers of Pingry, who finished first with 55.12.
Boys 400m Dash
Senior
Robert Rogers of St. Rose took a third place finish with 50.43, being
the only runner of the Shore Conference to medal in this event.
Boys 800m Dash
Junior
Patrick O’Boyle of Mater Dei finished in third place with a time of
1:57.39, but it was Brian Laskowski, a senior from Bishop Eustace, who
took home first with 1:56.20.
Boys 110m Hurdles
Senior
Robert Rogers of St. Rose captured second place with a time of 15.10,
just shy of junior Carlton Bowers of Pingry, who finished in first with
14.93.
Boys 4 x 400m Relay
Mater
Dei captured third place in the relay as seniors Michael Amato, Gervin
Mendonca, Ryan Lundy and junior Patrick O’Boyle finished with a time
of 3:32.24. The boys from St. Joseph Hammonton took first place with
3:28.77.
Boys Shot Put
Senior
Mario Cornacchia of Mater Dei placed fourth after throwing 46-00.50.
Frank Allen, a senior from Holy Cross, placed first with 50-05.75.
Boys High Jump
Senior
Michael Amato of Mater Dei took first place honors after clearing 6-02.00.
He was the only competitor from the Shore Conference to medal.
Boys Javelin Throw
Senior
Mario Cornacchia of Mater Dei medaled for sixth place with a mark of
148-00. Sophomore Nick Haines of St. Joseph Hammonton took first place
with 167-10.
Boys Pole Vault
St.
Rose represented the Shore Conference with third and fourth place performances
from seniors Robert Rogers and James Roman, both of whom cleared 12-00.00.
Freshman Jon Brinkerhoff of Veritas Christian took first place after
clearing 13-00.00.
