Sarah Burcher, Maggie Walker GS

It was hard enough getting through Maggie Walker's midfielders and halfbacks.

Once an offensive attack finally saw daylight enough for a scoring opportunity, there was Sarah Burcher ready to make the save.

The senior registered a .50 goals-against average, the best in the Central Region. Burcher totaled 86 saves, giving up only nine goals the entire season for the region semifinalist.

Her effort earned her first-team all-Colonial District and all-Central Region. Now she's a Legend of the Fall.
