Several Central Region girls volleyball stars earned recognition on the Virginia High School Coaches Association volleyball team.
Group AAA state champion Deep Run headlines the team with player of the year Alyssa Lang and coach of the year Terra Balla.
Its the second consecutive year a Wildcat has earned the POY trophy, as Brittney Grove won it last season. Balla took her third straight coach-of-the-year award.
Hanover outside hitter Kristin Carpenter and Mills Godwin libero Alyssa Foster also made the first team with OH Lang.
Mills Godwin OH Katelyn Meeks earned second team honors.
Cosby's Mallory Carter, James River's Jessie Heavenrich and Atlee's Lacey Lewis received an honorable mention.FIRST TEAM
