PJ Gibbs - Manasquan: It was my 1st year coaching out of college in 2001. I was student
teaching for Jay Price at Manasquan and had the opportunity to coach
for my high school team the Manasquan Warriors. That year our staff was
chosen to coach the Monmouth County team in the All-Shore Classic in
2002. It was special to me because I got to coach with the people who
taught me the game, and showed me the way it was supposed to be
coached. It also was especially great because I got to coach for my
idol Vic Kubu. It is an experience that helped me achieve my coaching
position today at Matawan as the defensive coordinator. Without the
knowledge I gained from that year and that staff I would not be in that
position today. Still wished we wouldn't have lost in OT.
