If a runner was looking to advance a base on ball hit to the outfield this past season against
Manchester they made sure to see where it was hit.
That's because if
Blake Hauser was coming up throwing chances of taking that extra base were pretty slim.
The junior outfielder, who is also the pitching ace for the Lancers, has one of the strongest arms in the region.
Hauser, a first-team all-region and all-district member, was also good at the plate batting .459 with three home runs and 18 RBI.
Manchester held it's own in the tough Dominion District with the Lancers' best moment coming from their walk-off victory over eventual back-to-back state champion James River.
Hauser will return next season for his senior year looking for some more victories like that one.
