Tyler Oster scored four goals, Ronjohn Dadd added three and the Urbana High School boys lacrosse team blanked defending state champion Severna Park in the fourth quarter en route to a 12-6 victory in the Class 4A-3A state semifinals at North Carroll High School on Saturday.

The Hawks (17-1) will meet Dulaney (17-2) -- a 9-6 winner over last year's state finalist Wootton -- in the state championship at 8 p.m. Wednesday at UMBC. Dulaney, winners of 14 straight regional titles, fell to Severna Park in the state finals in 2006.

Urbana opened a 6-3 advantage at halftime and never relinquished the lead. Brian Patton and Matt Thomas tallied two goals each for the Hawks.

The Falcons, who have advanced to the state tournament nine of the last 10 seasons, was paced by sophomore Kyle Zorn with two goals. Seniors Jeff McGuire and Pat Morrison scored a goal each and juniors Sam Jones and Sean Price also found the net.

Senior goalkeeper Andrew Gvozden registered 13 saves for Severna Park and Urbana goalkeeper Colin Baker equaled his counterpart's tally. The Hawks had three more shots than the Falcons (32-29) but won the faceoff battle, 14-8, which made the difference down the stretch. Urbana also scooped 17 more ground balls.
