North Carolina University's Ben Hunt (Arnold, Md. Severna Park) was named to the All-ACC Lacrosse team and Third Team All-American in 2008.
Hunt, a junior midfielder, is the Tar Heel's second leading overall scorer and ranks first in goals this season. He scored 30 total points and his 21 goals were tops on the team.
The six-foot-four inch midfielder scored on 37.0 percent of his 54 shots and put 72.2 percent of his shots on goal. He led the Tar Heels in extra-man goals with nine. He also ended the year with 26 ground balls.
While at
Severna Park, Hunt led the Falcons to the Maryland 4A/3A State title in 2004 and helped his team to runner-up finishes in 2002, 2003, 2005.
