Shot Put1st Team Emily Vannoy Thomas Johnson JuniorThis junior has been the most dominant female thrower in the state for the past two years. This indoor season she had the seven best throws in the state this season and is tied for seventh in the country at this point in the season. Her goals for the future are to qualify for the Olympic trials and to continue moving up in the national rankings. When asked how she keeps herself motivated when she is the dominant thrower in the state, Vannoy said " I tell myself that Karen Shump and Becky O'brien are busting their butts to win NIN and if I want to beat them I have to do the same."

High Jump1st Team Saniel Atkinson Bishop McNamara JuniorThis former ballet dancer has the background and flexibility for being one of the best high jumpers ever in the state. Her goal of hitting 6 feet at the Penn Relays is certainly in sight and besides high jumping is also an excellent triple and long jumper. She also ran a 1:22.3 500 and a 2:33.5 800 this year.

Triple Jump1st Team Erin Brooks Seton Keough SeniorErin is the only girl this season to jump over 40 feet and she did it three times. Here 40-05.5 jump at Georgetown Prep put her in the top eight in the country this indoor season. She also jumped over 18 feet this year in the long jump. She was one of the main reasons that Seton Keough won the IAAM Championships this indoor season.

Long Jump1st Team Christina Manning Westlake SeniorNot only is she the best long jumper in the state this season and one of the top 10 in the country, but she is also the best hurdler in the state. Take into account her duties in the 55 dash and on Westlake's relays and Christina is one of the busiest athletes at any meet. Her long jump coach has said she has been close to 20 feet all year in practice and she just needs to hit the board. In order to get to 20 feet, Christina said, "I going to have to work really hard to get on the board. Maybe I need to think about changing my mark. Most importantly, I need to be aggressive in my approach and not worry so much about fouling. Just be confident and jump!"
