"T-Mac's Tuesday Take" 33.3 PGFM Jan. 27
Predictions
*A smooth, deep voice fills the airways of 33.3 PGFM on a Tuesday afternoon*
Hello all you Prince George's County sports fans
out there. This is your boy T-Mac here on this snowy day to provide you
with the sounds of good music, the ear candy of good conversation, and
the predictions that you love.
Hello caller, you are on the line with T-Mac ...
Caller #1:
Yo, T-Mac, what's happening, bro? Man, I am upset these games were
postponed because of the snow, but hey man, when the Flowers boys do
play Laurel, what do you think might happen?
T-Mac:
What's going on caller? Thanks for the call man, and thanks for
listening. But the Laurel boys are good. I have to go with the Spartans
on this one, and not the ones in the movie, the ones from Laurel.
And
with that, let the smooth sounds of Boyz II Men's 'Let it Snow' fill
your radio ... *Sings* Llleeettt iiitttt snnnooooowwww, leeettt
iiiiiitt snnooowwwww ........
T-Mac: That was Boyz II Men with the winter classic, 'Let it Snow', next caller, you are on the line with T-Mac.
Caller #2:
Hey T, was that you in line a few months ago at 4:30 a.m. waiting to
buy those J's? But yeah, to my question man, what's good with the Largo
girls and Surrattsville contest? Both teams are strong man, tell me
what you think.
T-Mac:
Yeah, that was me in line my dude. But to your question, both of those
squads are tough, athletic, and well-coached. It will be a good one. If
I had to choose, I would go with Largo in overtime. Don't ask me why,
but that's just a gut instinct, you know?
Alright listeners,
enjoy the tunes of Babyface's White Christmas, I know Christmas is a
couple of weeks gone, but enjoy this nice classic ...
T-Mac: Alright good people of the world, we have time for one last call. Let me hear it ...
Caller #3:
Yo T-Mac, that Boyz II Men you played a while back was my song man,
thanks for that! But hey, make this prediction for me. Who will be in
the boys basketball P.G. County Championship?
T-Mac:
Hey caller, no problem. But to answer your question man, I have to say
the Patriots of Friendly and the Bulldogs of Bowie. If you can't see
that coming man, you need to get your eyes checked.
Alright
callers that's all the time we have for today. Thanks for grooving and
smoothing with 33.3 PGFM ... the radio choice for the P.G. sports fans
across the county. Until next time ... this is T-Mac.

ISSUE 3 (1-20-07) Yeah,
so originally it was Tuesdays, than Wednesdays, and now, since the
official name is T-Mac's Take, I said to myself why not publish it on
Tuesdays and name it T-Mac's Tuesday Take. So, I promise no more changes, Tuesday it is.
Moving on ... Today
was historic, I am sure those words will be heard for a long time to
come. January 20, 2008, a day I will forever remember. I sat in my
house on this Tuesday morning and watched the Presidential Inauguration
with my parents a proud African American man. I won't bore you with the
things that have been said over and over and over these past few
months, but just know that today is a day I will remember and that I
was proud to be a part of.
Predictions
With the times of today, I want to put my
predictions in a different light for this issue. Instead of selecting
winners of games, I want to select my Prince George's County Cabinet.
If I was president, who would I select for my athletic cabinet? Well,
follow me as I select my members (in no particular order).
Secretary of Energy ... Friendly boys' basketball head coach Ron Garner
... Have you seen this guy coach? If you have you know EXACTLY why he
is the Prince George's County Secretary of Energy. You can feel his
passion and energy resonating from his bench through the stands; Thumbs
up on Coach Garner being in this position.
Secretary of the Interior
... This is easy. Bladensburg girls' basketball center Uchechi Ahaiwe.
The 6-foot-3-inch senior gets on the inside and it is hers. No ifs,
ands, or buts. She is definitely my choice for this position.
Secretary of Veterans Affairs ... DuVal head boys' basketball coach Artie Walker is now in his 25th year as head coach at DuVal. I am pretty sure he can handle all of my veteran affairs shall I need help.
Secretary of the Treasury ... Eleanor Roosevelt athletic director Tom Green. If
I remember correctly, Green is the Prince George's County Coach's
Association treasurer, so, obviously, he should head this position as
well.
No, that may not be all of the cabinet positions available, but for the purposes of 'The Take' we will keep it at four spots.
Random thoughts Super
Bowl: Cardinals. NBA All-Star Game: Overtime, East wins. Meagan Good or
Lauren London: Meagan Good. Chocolate Chip or Oreos: Chocolate Chip.
