Under Armour, Inc., along with Corrigan Sports Enterprises, has announced its 2007 class of Under Armour Lacrosse All-Americans.  The 2007 Under Armour All-America Team, selections powered by Inside Lacrosse, recognizes the top up-and-coming high school lacrosse talent, consisting of the best boys and girls senior lacrosse players in the country, each of whom was selected by a panel of experts headed by Kim Simons on the girls?? side and Gary Gait on the boys?? side and organized by the team at Inside Lacrosse Magazine. The All-America team reaffirms Under Armour??s commitment to giving lacrosse players the best performance gear possible as athletes head into their collegiate athletic careers.

The 2007 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will take place on Saturday, June 16th at Loyola College??s Geppi-Aikens Field. A full day of events is scheduled, beginning with the STX Lacrosse Youth Clinic at 9 a.m.  Following that event at 11 a.m., which is open to kids ages 15 & under, will be the D.C. vs. Baltimore Girls?? Underclassmen game. At 1 p.m. will be the D.C. vs. Baltimore Boys?? Underclassmen Game.  At the conclusion of that contest, the All-American Girls square off in a North vs. South format before the All-American Boys finish the day live on ESPNU at 5 p.m.

This year??s crop of All-Americans features 90 players from 13 states, from as far away as California and Colorado to as close as Maryland and Virginia.  New York had the most players selected with 25, while Maryland was second on the list with 24.  The University of Virginia had 12 commitments chosen for the event (nine boys and three girls) with Duke having 11 signees (five boys and six girls).

"Once again the ??Best of the Best?? has been selected to participate in the second Annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic,? stated Lee Corrigan, president of Corrigan Sports.  ??The Under Armour All-American label has distinguished itself as identifying the very best lacrosse players in the country and that label will stick with these players for the rest of their lives."

Paul McDermott of Huntington High School and Diane Chapman from Garden City High School will serve as the head coaches of the North Boys?? and Girls?? squads, respectively, while Brian Kelly from Calvert Hall and Brooke Kuhl-McClelland of Mount Hebron, both of whom were victorious in last year??s underclassmen games, will serve in the save capacity for the South Boys?? and Girls?? teams.

In the inaugural Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic last year, both of the North teams were victorious.  The boys won by the score of 17-14 and the girls outscored their counterparts, 15-12.
