rmink@digitalsports.comAfter a dominant season on the mound, a scholarship to Clemson and numerous postseason honors,
Gaithersburg graduate Kevin Brady received one of high school sport’s highest honors this week.
Brady is featured in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd section – on page 28 -- in the July 28 edition of the magazine.
The magazine, which features Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps on the cover, chose Brady as the highlighted athlete, called the “High School Video Face.”
His magazine write-up reads:
“Kevin, a right-handed pitcher and recent graduate of Gaithersburg High, was 7-0 with a 0.29 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 48 1/3 innings; the two-time Washington Post All-Met was named Player of the Year. As a junior he threw three no-hitters and a perfect game.”
