Austin Erb do at first base?
Defensively, he was complete with a sure glove and a stretch to help beat the runner that rivals major leaguers.
Offensively, Hanover's star was a big hit waiting to happen.
His two-run shot against Lee-Davis early in the season set the tone for the best year in Hanover history, a state final appearance and 24-2 record.
He also had a HR to give Hanover a 7-6 lead in the Central Region final versus Deep Run.
Erb is headed to Ashland University in Ohio, his mom's alma mater.
