The
Centralia Cross Country team ran at Pioneer Park this afternoon in the League
Championship meet. Top finishers for the Tigers, and earning All-League
Honors were Sam Parke-Fagerness, 4th 17:45, Kody Posey, 7th 18:03, and Brianna
Cowin, 9th 23:13. All of the teams are battling injuries and illnesses
right now, and Centralia is no exception. We are all just hoping for our
runners to be healthy next week for the District race. The order of team
placings could look a whole lot different next week with everybody
running. As it was run today the boys placed 3rd in the meet and 3rd in
the overall league standings, and the girls placed 4th today, but 3rd overall
in the league. It was really nice to see the effort and desire my runners
are racing with. They are looking really good to run some PRs and qualify
for state next weekend.
