Glenelg Country School’s girls volleyball team played two tough matches this week against non-conference opponents.

On Tuesday, GCS hosted St. John’s College High School, from Washington, D.C., and on Wednesday, Howard County’s Atholton High School also visited Glenelg Country School.

GCS lost both matches in three games each (8-25, 19-25, 15-15 versus St. John’s; 6-25, 10-25, 8-25 versus Atholton). It was the first time that GCS has ever played a team from Washington or a public school in volleyball. The losses dropped the Dragons to 0-3 (0-1 in C Conference play) on the season.

The next match is Friday, September 12th when GCS hosts conference rival Friends of Baltimore.
