Josh Braun scored once and Tayler Sones had an assist as the Gladiators, ranked 14th in the DigitalSports Top 20, out-scored the Lions, 7-2, in the second half.
Jon Selfridge had 10 saves for the Gladiators, winners of last year's Class 3A-2A state title, improved to 2-0 in the league and 4-0 overall in tuning up for Tuesday night's game against their league rival the River Hill Hawks.
The Hawks, on Monday, won their second straight game, 9-8, in overtime over previously unbeaten returning county runner-up Centennial.
The Hawks (2-2, 2-0) are on a roll after having scored last week's 13-10 victory over defending county titlist Mount Hebron.
