The Lady Eagles won their first home game of the 2009 season in convincing fashion Saturday against Bladensburg, 28-6.  The game was close at the outset, with Bladensburg scoring four runs in the first inning, but the Lady Eagles responded with six of their own to take the lead for good.  Laura Kelley got the win with a solid start, with Chika Ugoji picking up the save by tossing two shoutout innings with six strikeouts to close the door.  The game was 10-6 in the fourth inning when the Lady Ealges blew it open with and 18-run inning!  Lisa Donn chipped in four hits, while DaChelle Robinson hit a three-run homer.  Chika Ugoji followed the home run with a triple in the gap in rightcenter.  A great start to the season!
