Hoes went 2-for-5 in his debut against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, driving in a run and scoring once. He went 0-for-3 with a walk yesterday against the Boston Red Sox affiliate. He hit third in the order on Monday.
Hoes, who was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the third round of the Major League Baseball draft after starring at St. John’s, played third base in both games despite being drafted as a second baseman.
