The MD Chill Black 12U stayed local to participate in the 30-31 May 09 Rock �n� Rumble softball tournament.  The tournament was held at the Cedar Lane Park in Columbia, MD.  The MD Chill Black started the first game on Saturday scoring two runs in the 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th innings.  Great pitching and excellent defense helped the MD Chill Black come away with an 8-7 win against the Severna Park Hornets.

In the second game the MD Chill Black started the game slow, but in the 3^rd inning the big bats came alive and the MD Chill Black put three runs on the score board.  Continuing with excellent defense the MD Chill Black came away with another 5-2 win against the Lady Orioles.

In the third and final game of the day the MD Chill Black ran into a very tough Riviera Beach Revolution team.  Giving up three runs in the 1^st inning the MD Chill Black had to pick up the defense and fight to come back.  With the score close in the last inning the MD Chill Black could not find the right offense to pull out the win.

Due to rain, all Sunday game where canceled. 

The MD Chill Black came away with the SECOND PLACE trophy.

Team members include Madison Vicendese, Imani Torregano, Madeleine Bennett, Gracie Logan, Kayla Clark, Megan Crumling, Alex Cwalina, Lindsay Humphrey, Courtney O�Neill, Lexi Jones, and Gabriela Mistichelli.
