The Lady Eagles of Zionsville knew what was at stake, a perfect end to a tough week of games. On Saturday August 22nd they took care of business as they beat the #10 ranked North Central Lady Eagles 5-1 at ZYSA Eagle Field.

The game proved to be tougher that the score suggests as North Central gave everything they had and managed to put Zionsville on the ropes several times during the game. The Eagles opened their score on a goal by Senior forward Hadley Stuart. The rest of the half saw Zionsville used the strong wind in their favor as they continue to attack the goal of the Panthers. However the score remained 1-0 at the half.

The second half saw a different story as North Central came out on fire and managed to even the score 1-1 on a nice goal of a cross from the left side of the field. Zionsville used that goal as motivation as they took charge once again and was able to score 4 unanswered goals to finish the scoring 5-1.

Goal scorers for Zionsville in the second half included Hadley Stuart (2), Mina Mansoori, and Kasey McKenney (PK).

"This was a tough game for our girls", said head coach Ramon Aguillon. "Playing tHree games in a span of 7 days is very tough to do physically, our girls managed to take care of business and got a much needed win to end the week". "I am proud of they way we came back after the game was tied, it showed our resilience".

Zionsville's record goes to 3-0-0 as they prepare to travel to West Lafayette on Wednesday August 26th to play against McCutcheon.
