Coach Lancaster calling: "I'm definitely playing basketball. My dad [John] was a basketball fiend. I play basketball, but have not for any teams." Moore is trying out for coach George Lancaster's Springers come the winter season.

On leaping ability: "I first learned how to jump when I was about three. I was jumping pretty high. After that it just started coming from nowhere. I do train on it. I think it mostly came from God. I didn't know I could jump that high until volleyball started."

Funniest teammate: "Has to be my little brother George. He's the funniest."

How's it playing with your brother: "I think it's one of the best experiences ever. If we win, it's because of me, him and our teammates. We talk trash to each other, who's the best. He's improved the most out of every one on the team."

On coach Richard Starr: "He's a really strong, well-known volleyball player. He understands the game. He knows when to call the timeout. He knows people. That's why I think he's one of the best coaches in the state."

One thing most people wouldn't know: "That's pretty hard because everyone knows a lot of about me. I play a lot of video games after practice. Halo 3, Call of Duty." What system? "XBox 360, of course."

Favorite subject: "Math. I love math. I can't wait to I go to college so I can be an accountant, be pretty strong in that."

On college: "I've got a lot of track offers more than anything, from high jumping. I really want to go to King's College, Cal-State Northridge or George Mason [to play volleyball].

What kind of player would a college get: "A strong, team player. Willing to correct his mistakes."
