Robinson (6-1, 2-1) at Madison (4-3, 3-2), 7:30 p.m. Friday
Last Week: Robinson lost to Westfield, 21-20 (OT); Madison won at Stone Bridge, 28-14
PowerPoints: Robinson - 2nd (Div. 6); Madison - 4th (Div. 5)
Offensive Rank (Pts/Game): Robinson - 1st (Div. 6); Madison - 10th (Div. 5)
Defensive Rank (Pts/Game): Robinson - 2nd (Div. 6); Madison - 1st (Div. 5)

Even with its stunning, 21-20, overtime home loss to Westfield (3-4) last week, Robinson remains ranked in the top two both offensively and defensively in Division 6.

But the Rams lost their hold on the top spot in the Division 6 power rankings.

Madison was on the opposite end of an unbeaten upset as it toppled Stone Bridge (6-1), 28-14, in Ashburn. Aside from two long Bulldog touchdowns, the Warhawks allowed 118 total yards.

Madison senior tailback Tavin Thomas recorded 74 of his game-high 92 yards -- and both of his touchdowns -- after half time. That includes the finishing touch on an 18-play, 72-yard drive in the fourth quarter that spanned 8 minutes, 10 seconds.

Robinson looks to rebound on its season-low 139 total rushing yards on 31 carries. Junior quarterback Mike LoPresti completed 5-of-11 passing for 117 yards and two touchdowns, no picks.

That includes four completions to standout junior receiver Matt Zanellato for 88 yards and a score.

The Warhawks feature a handful of capable linebackers -- and has the top-ranked defense in Division 5 -- but it will be interesting to see how the Ram senior running back Connor Reilly fares, especially in the second half.

He is one of the best late-game running backs in the region, getting better as the game wears on -- and as the defense wears down.

Robinson will call on senior linebacker Bryan Laiti to anchor its run-stopping efforts. If it can derail the Madison power-dive offense, which has only cracked 4.0 yards per carry twice this season, the boys repping the Concorde will be in great position to return to the win column.

These two grind-it-out offenses have not met in over 12 seasons.
