The James River girls soccer team was crowned as Dominion District champions on Thursday night at Clover Hill High School.
The Rapids scored three goals in the district final to defeat the Cosby Titans 3-0.
James River midfielder Nancy Wright scored the Rapids second goal of the match that gave James River a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Wright was able to launch a free kick from 25 yards out over the keepers' head and into the net.
The victory for the Rapids gave them a sweep of the regular season and tournament titles.
Cosby will now travel to Atlee, the Capital District champions and defending region champions, to play in the first round of the Central Region tournament on Tuesday.
James River will play host to Lee-Davis, the runners up of the Capital District, on Tuesday.
